Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has released a new clip from its upcoming film from DisneyToon Studios, The Pirate Fairy, available to own on April 1, 2014 (pre-order). The new clip, which you can find embedded below, features the film’s theme song, ‘Who I Am’ as performed by pop singer Natasha Bedingfield. The film also features Bedingfield’s ‘Weightless (Less Is More Version),’ which had been used in the scratch recording of the film and was enjoyed so much by the filmmakers, director Peggy Holmes opted to make it permanent.
From the world of Peter Pan comes The Pirate Fairy, a swashbuckling new adventure about Zarina (voice of Christina Hendricks), a smart and ambitious dust-keeper fairy who’s captivated by blue pixie dust and its endless possibilities. When Zarina’s wild ideas get her into trouble, she flees Pixie Hollow and joins forces with the scheming pirates of Skull Rock, who make her captain of their ship. Tinker Bell (voice of Mae Whitman) and her friends must embark on an epic adventure to find Zarina, and together they go sword-to-sword with the band of pirates led by a cabin boy named James (voice of Tom Hiddleston), who’ll soon be known as Captain Hook himself. With laughter, heart, magic and thrills, The Pirate Fairy also stars the vocal talents of Lucy Liu, Raven-Symone, Megan Hilty and Anjelica Huston.
Walt Disney Studios Home Entertainment has also provided us with this small interview with Bedingfield talking about contributing to a Disney film as well as touching upon her upcoming album:

The end of “Exquisite Enigmatic Us,” the last session for today (yesterday) at TEDGlobal 2013, is appropriately rounded out by a former student of psychology, English pop singer Natasha Bedingfield. (Did you know she studied psych at university?) Popular for her hits “Unwritten” and “Pocketful of Sunshine,” Bedingfield performs “These Words” and debuts a newly written song, “I Like You.” As Bedingfield jokes, “They say ‘love the one you’re with,’ but liking the one you’re with is harder. If you like the one you’re with, hold onto them tight.” Sporting some very awesome black-and-white-dotted skirt-pants, Bedingfield closes with her Grammy-award-nominated hit, “Unwritten.”
