The end of “Exquisite Enigmatic Us,” the last session for today (yesterday) at TEDGlobal 2013, is appropriately rounded out by a former student of psychology, English pop singer Natasha Bedingfield. (Did you know she studied psych at university?) Popular for her hits “Unwritten” and “Pocketful of Sunshine,” Bedingfield performs “These Words” and debuts a newly written song, “I Like You.” As Bedingfield jokes, “They say ‘love the one you’re with,’ but liking the one you’re with is harder. If you like the one you’re with, hold onto them tight.” Sporting some very awesome black-and-white-dotted skirt-pants, Bedingfield closes with her Grammy-award-nominated hit, “Unwritten.”

Out singer-songwriter Linda Perry stopped by CBS daytime show The Talk on Thursday to mix it up with pop star Natasha Bedingfield. Bedingfield and Perry performed a tender, stripped-down version of “Pocket Full of Sunshine,” much to the audience’s delight. Watch the full performance below.
Queens native Tenna Torres made it all the way through Hollywood Week, and now the 28-year-old has a chance to sing for her life in Las Vegas!
Tenna takes the stage to perform Natasha Bedingfield’s “Soulmate” and the crowd seems to love her. Nicki thinks that Tenna has a voice that’s reminiscent of some of the great 90s R&B artists, but that she needs to change up her look. Mariah says Tenna gave a beautiful performance, while Randy affirms that “This is how you do it!”
Veteran rockers Lifehouse have been around the music scene for a over decade and they don’t have plans to slow down anytime soon, what with the release of their sixth studio album Almería.
Thanks to Walmart Soundcheck, Hollywire chatted with the guys on a rooftop in Los Angeles (yes, it’s rooftop interview weather in LA) about working with Natasha Bedingfield on “Between the Raindrops” and what piece of advice they have for aspiring musicians.
Working on a song can be a long, time-consuming process, which “Between the Raindrops” was. Talking about the writing and rewriting process, lead singer Jason Wade explained that after three and a half months of creating it they decided a female voice would be a perfect fit for the song. Knowing Natasha for over six years and admiring her work, they reached out to her and she was in the studio the next week.
“I think when anything happens and it’s an artistic connection it happens organically and it’s not put together,” Jason explained. “When she came into the studio she sang the song three or four times and the hair on your arm would stand up. It was beautiful and that’s really when the song came to fruition.”
